Porcellain jewellery box with hand-painted and signed miniature of last Austrian imperor Franz Joseph as child, gilded interior. This fine porcelain work was created by famous Vienna porcellain manufacture Ernst Wahliss in ca.1880s.
Inscription: signed on the miniature lower right , on the back of box marks and inscription in German: "Porcellain House of Ernst Wahliss, Vienna" and "His Majesty Imperor Franz Joseph I "
Technique: porcellain , painted in red, decorated with gold ornament, gold-plated interior, hand-painted miniature.
Measurements: unframed d 7 1/5 1/4" x h 3 1/2" (d 18 x h 9 cm)
