Symbolistic painting in the best tradition of famous "Pre-Raffaelite School" created in 1880-1890 by good listed French  painter Etienne Azambre (1859 - Paris -1935). The artist studied by William Bouguereau ( for comparison see " The Madonna of the lilies" by his teacher) and by Robert Fleury, and was regularly represented on exhibitions of Paris Salons between 1883 and 1901, 1890 mention honorable. Predominantly religious motives  with tendency to the Mystik and genre motives, e.g. Saint François prêchant aux oiseaux; Jésus, Marie et Marthe; Rêve de Sainte Cécile; Inspiration; Musique de chambre. Sometimes approach at the symbolism.
