Virtuosic still life with oriental antiques was created in 1907 by renown Austrian still life painter Max Schödl ( 1834 - Vienna -1921 ).He studied in the Vienna ine Arts Academy . Later worked in Vienna, Paris, London and Italy. In the first time carrier as portrait painter , Schödl became later student of Friedrich Friedländer and painted since 1868 still lifes , espessially sitll lifes with oriental antiques.His works were acknowledged with medalls on the exhibitions in Vienna in 1873 and in Sidney in 1879. Since 1869 - member of Vienna Artist Union "Künstlerhaus". His antiques still lifes arrived by the international auctions high prices: "A Middle Eastern still life " was sold on 24.01.2006 in Christies/Amsterdam for 12 000 €.; " A Chinese still life " was sold on 2.06.2005 in Christies/New York for 6600 USD.
