Winter landscape in the Austrian mountains (on reverse of the painting - old inscription with name of a mount in austrian Styria) was created in 1933 by landscape painter and graphic artist Arnold Aschauer (1902 Politz an der Elbe/Bohemia - after 1939 Graz/Austria). He studied in 1929-33 Landeskunstschule Graz by Richter-Bienenthal , worked in Graz as restaurator and painter. Landscapes in oil, watercolour and drawing.
