Oriental street scene in Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia & Herzegovina was executed in 1898 by famouse Austrian cityscape painter Rudolf Bernt (1844 Neunkirchen - 1914 Pottenstein). He studied architecture at the Vienna Technical High School and at the Academy by Rösner and van der Nüll,. Since 1870 worked he together with otto Wagner. He was acknowledged as talented drawer and ornamentalist. Since 1890s he became popularity as cityscape(in German: Veduten) and architecture watercolour painter,whereby ihe took himself Rudolf von Alt to the model, which ihe very often approximates in his better watercolours.
