Art-Genre scene with resting society was created in 1920s by famous Austrian historical and genre painter Oskar Larsen (1882-1972). In 1897-1901 he studied at the Graphic School in Vienna under Viktor Jasper, Joseph Eugen Hoerwarter and Doleschal, in 1901-1909 at the Vienna Art Academy under Alois Delug. During the World War I Larsen worked as a war painter and in period of 1932-1942 lived in Germany. He was a honorary member of the London Royal Academy and received different prizes in Vienna, in 1919 he became a member of Vienna Artists´ Unit. Larsen´s paintings are on permanent exhibition in the Museum of City Vienna.
