Masterful drawing of a German shepherd dog was executed by listed German painter and illustrator Hans Stubenrauch (b.1875). He studied at the Art School in Nurnberg and later at the Munich Academy under Gysis, Halm and H.Zuegel. The artist worked in Munich as illustrator in magazines "Jugend" and "Fliegende Blaetter". H.Stubenrauch is listed in the General Dictionary of Artists from Antiquiry to the Present by Thieme/Becker, Leipzig, 1999.
Inscription: signed Hans Stubenrauch and titeled in German "On the secret path", lower left.
