Masterfully detailled still life painting with flowers in a china porcelain vase, bird, sitting on a foliant, ash-tray and sword. This work was painted in oval, signed and dated 1851. The author of this high-quality work Ennemond Collignon ( 1822 - Paris - 1890) was good listed French artist, pupil of Franc. Granet, he exhibited his works (interiors, still lifes and portraits) between 1840 and 1880 in the Paris Salon. In 1863 he created ceiling paintings for Salle du Conseil des palais du tribunal de Commerce in Paris ("Justice", "Strength", "Law" and " Truth" ). His works situated in the Museum of Reims.
