A pair of antique paintings with night view of Feodosia (Crimea) harbour and seascape with sailing ship, both works were executed in the end of 19th century by Russian marine artist with Italian origin A.Frandetti or Frondetti (full first name is uknown). It´s known, that the artist came from Italy to study by Ivan Aivazovsky for marine painting, settled in Odessa , worked here and in the Crimea in the end of 19th, beginning of 20th centuries. His works are extreme rare on the art market . we found only one seascape "The moonlit coast" in the Sothebys date base and another his marine painting "To the shore", estimated in the art gallery "Vernissage", Moscow. There is as well the reference about a painting by Frandetti , sold for 11460 USD in the auction result list of the dictionary of Russian painters by V.D. Solovjev (Moscow, 2005) .
