High quality portrait miniature of a young beauty was executed in 1804 by listed American miniaturist John Marras , who was active in New York, Constantinople and Madrid from 1802 to 1820s , listed by Schidlof (1911); Thieme/Becker (Leipzig, 1999) and index of ADEC (General artist lexicon by Saur).6 miniatures by the artist from the time 1803/1815 were exhibited at the Miniature Exhibition in Madrid in 1916.
