Early rural scene in a Russian village was executed in the end of 18th century by listed portrait, miniature painter and graphic artist C. Vernet, pupil of Dorthea Therbusch-Lisiewiski in Berlin. He lived and worked in Koenigsberg in 1790s, where he died at juvenile age. He painted portrait of Kant , drawed hunting scenes, travelled to Russia, where painted portrait of Prince Wassilij Wassiliewitsch Dolgorukij (situated in the museum Ateneum in Helsingfors/Helsinki , cat.1930, No.1533) and portrait (drawing) of outstanding Russian poet Alexander Pushkin (since 1916 - estate of Pushkin`s descendants.). Works by him situated . Berlin (Museum of Kaiser Friedrich) and Helsinki (Ateneum).
