Masterfully genre scene in palast interior was executed in 1888 in Munich by good listed and high quoted German painter Hans Buchner (1856 Stuttgart - 1941 Munich). The artist studied: at the Academies in Stuttgart by Jakob Grünewald und Carl von Häberlin and at the Academy in Munich by Alexander Wagner. Lived in Munich since 1880. Took part in exhibitions in the "Munich glass palace" (1906) and at the Munich Secession (1908). Drew out through life near representations, category scenes and motives of flower .

Literature : Nagel Lexicon; Münchner Maler I, 1981; Saur "General Artist Lexicon (AKL)".

Inscription: signed , dated and inscribed Hans Buchler,München,  lower left .

Technique: oil on canvas, magnificent gold-plated antique frame.

Measurements: w 35 1/2 " x h 28 3/4 " (41 x 51 cm), framed w 47 3/4 " x 41 1/4 " (58 x 68 cm).

Condition: in good condition, canvas professional relined.
