This Russian country lanscape was executed in 1894 in an impressionistic manner by the extremely rare Russian landscape painter Fedor Ivanovich Yasnovsky (1833 Igumen / Minsk gubernija - 1902 Moscow) . His works are not to find on the international art market except the Tretyakov gallery and Russian State Museum where 4 of his landscapes are exhibited. The artist, born in Belarussia, studied at the Moscow 2-nd Drawing School. In 1854 he was awarded with the title of "neklassnij" landscape painter and in 1858 the title assigned to the Academy. In 1860 he got the title of academician of ornamental watercolour painting . From 1852 on he served as a lecturer at the Moscow Stroganov Art School. В 1825 году граф С.Г. Строганов основал в Москве бесплатную школу рисования "в отношении к искусствам и ремеслам". В 1843 году школа Строганова была преобразована во Вторую школу технического рисования (2-ю Московскую рисовальную школу - будущую знаменитую Строгановку). Именно в ней учился Федор Иванович Ясновский, представленный в 1854 году к званию некласcного художника пейзажной живописи. Последующая плодотворная работа делает имя художника известным. Он активно занимается акварелью, добиваясь в ней впечатляющих результатов. В 1858 году Ф.И. Ясновский получает от Академии художеств звание "назначенного" в академики. В 1860 году ему присуждают звание академика акварельной орнаментной живописи.Жил и работал Ф.И. Ясновский в Москве. Многие годы преподавал в своем родном Строгановском училище. Ясновский выставлялся на первой выставке Товаищества Передвижных Выставок. Картины художника имеются в коллекции Третьяковской Галлереи и Русского госуд. музея. Приведем цитату из газеты "Коммерсант" характеризующую значение художника: "...Топ-лотом аукциона московской известной антикварной фирмы Магнум Арс стал, безусловно, редчайший русский пейзажист Федор Ясновский (1833 – 1902). Его огромное полотно «Лесной ручей» (138х194) мерцает редкими сочетаниями розовых и зеленых тонов. По легенде, он выгнал из своей мастерской Павла Михайловича Третьякова и никогда не дружил ни с кем из меценатов. Вероятно, поэтому его картины мало известны широкому кругу любителей живописи.".
