Small but fine painting with noble horsemen, preapering to the hunting trip (on the back of panel - antique german inscription with the title: "Aufbruch zu Jagd"). Due to the style, motive and time and palce of creation it was attributed to the hand of good listed Viennese horse , race and hunting painter Alfred Steinacker (1838 Ödenburg - 1914 Vienna), the pupil of Vienna Fine Arts Academy. Steinacker worked under influence of his teachers August von Pettenkofen and Alexander Ritter von Bensa and later recieved acknowledge among collectors for his gypsy and Hungarian country folk life as well as rider and hunt representations.

Inscription: signed with pseudonym A.Scari lower right.

Technique: oil on wood panel . Original period frame.

Measurements: unframed w 9 1/4" x h 5 1/2" (23,5 x 14 cm), framed w 12 5/8" x h 9 1/2" (32 x 24 cm)

Condition: in very good condition.
