This large and beautiful summer landscape witth poppies was executed in 1920s with influence of Austrian Art Nouveau idol Gustav Klimt and paintings by French Impressionists. The author of our work is Czech landscape painter Karel Bandouch ( born 1893). He was born and worked in Brno, studied in Viennese Academy (by Richard Steiner), in Brno (by Fr.Potucka) and in Praque (Dite, Schusser and Schikaneder).
