This is an original oil painting by famous German female animalist Meta Pluckenbaum (1876 Dortmund - after 1933 Duesseldorf).She was very popular painter artist who recieved acknowledge for her animal genre scenesand portraits especially with cats and dogs. She worked in the late 1800s and early 1900s . Her animalist works are well known throughout the world .
