Spring landscape with still waters was executed 1894 by listed German landscape painter Josua von Gietl (1847 - Munich - 1922). The artist, pupil of Munich Academy under Lindenschmit, Lier and Wenglein; worked in Munich, from 1883 sent regulary his landscapes to exhibitions of Glaspalast, and since 1893 - to Great Berlin Exhibition, 1886 - exhibition of Berlin Academy. His quiet, extremely charming mood landscapes broken him acknowledge of public. His works located in the collection of Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavariaand in Museum of Muehlhausen.
