Funny circus scene with dogs and monkey was executed by good listed Belgian animalist Vincent de Vos (1829 - 1875). The artist , born in Courtrai/Belgium,studied by Eduard Woutermaertens. He painted mostly dogs, in a style similar to that of Joseph Stevens, but with a trade drier, more meticulous. Works by him situated in museums of Mulhouse and Tourcoing.
