Lovery humorfully genre scene with a family on boat trip was executed un the end of 19th century by listed German genre and portrait painter Ernst Hader, who was active in Berlin in 19/20 centuries as well as in Swinemünde (1910/1911). The artist exhibited at the Berlin academical exhibitions in 1866 - 1892 with humorous and anecdotal genre paintings, women´s and children´s portraits. In 1896 he appeared at the Berlin International Exhibition und 1906 for the last time - on the Great Berlin Art Exhibition.

Inscription: signed lower right., on the reverse of stretcher - original exhibition label with artist´s name and title of the painting in German.
