Landscape painting with a hunter was executed by renowed Norwegian painter Ludvig Skramstad (1855 Hamar - 1912 Munich). He studied at the Royal Art school in Chrisitiania (1870), in 1871-1874 - by Morten Müller and Knud Bergslien, in 1875 - in Duesseldorf (by Sophus Jacobsen). In 1878 he worked in Paris and London, 1885/86 - in Munich, since 1902 settled in Munich. Friendship with Ibsen, Björnson and Sverdrup. Large wall paintings, forest and lake landscapes . works in museums of Oslo, Christiania, Bergen.

Inscription: signed lower right.

Technique: oil on canvas. Original gilt frame.

Measurements: unframed : w. 23 5/8" x h. 16 1/4 " (60 x 41 cm), framed w. 31 1/2 " x h. 24 " (80 x 61 cm).

Condition: in very good condition.
