Masterful watercolour-gouache was created in 1889 by renown und high-listed german-russian genre painter Wilhelm Amandus Beer ( 1837 Frankfurt on main - 1907 ). Pupil of Anton Radls , Steinle and Jacob Becker , later studied in Antwerpen and Paris. He travelled and lived long time in Russia , Smolensk Gubernia, where from he drawed main themes for his paintings. He created a number of genre works from russian folk life . For his love to russian sujets he was called " Russian Bear". Many of his paintings came to famous german collectors ( Memory Exhibiton in 1907 in Frankfurt) and to Frankfurt Museums. His russian genre scenes are very high quoted in international auctions ( untill 30000 €).
