Masterfully Belle Epoque genre scene with three elegant ladies in a bleu interior was executed ca. in 1870s by listed Spanish-French painter and drawer Ricardo (Federico) Corchon y Diaque (1853 Madrid - 1925 Pau). The author of galant scenes and Paris city views. He studied : Fine Art Academy of St. Fernando in Madrid; by Federico de Madrazo y Küntz; finally by Léon Bonnat in Paris, where he lived in 1878-80, where exhibited by the World exhibition in 1878. His oil painting "Elegant ladies on Place de la Madeleine, Paris" , 41 x 32 cm, was sold in Sothebys New York on 20.0.92 for 49500 USD and his "An elegant company on the beach",35 x 51 cm, sold in Sothebys Amsterdam on 23.04.2001 for 18250 USD.
