Large panoramic view of Pasterze Glacier, situated in the Hohe Tauern, at the feet of the Grossglockner, it is the largest and longest glacier in Austria , 8,4 km long.
Our painting was executed by famous Austrian landscape artist Leopold Heinrich Voescher (1830-Vienna-1877). From 1846 to 1851 he was a student at Vienna Academy by Anton Hansch. In the 1859-1883 he made study travels to Austrian Alps, Tirol, Italy , Switzerland. From 1864 to 1874 he lived in Munich, was the member of the Viennese artist union "Kuenstlerhaus" (since 1861)
