Father of genre painter Max Gaisser, the artist was a pupil of Joh. Geyer in Augsburg, studied then in the Art Academy in Munich ( by Clemens Zimmerman and Jul. Schnorr). He settled in Munich, where since 1867 he exhibited his works in the Art Union.
