Monumental important historical painting depicts Pieter Paul Rubens, presented his patron King Charles I of England  and his wife Princess Henrietta Maria of France  own painting (probably celling design). As known, the King Charles I of England ((1600 -1649) was the patron of Rubens and Anthony van Dyck. For proof of identity of both personalities ( Rubens and Charles I) see for comparison paintings by Anthony van Dyck on additional photos. Unfortunately, we cannot accurately determine the place and time of this meeting of Rubens and the King depicted on our picture, but as known from multilple literature sources, Charles I and Rubens met several times. First time the King has shown interest to Rubens art, as he commissioned the painter in 1621 to create the celling painting for the new " Banqueting House in the Whitehall" . A little later recieved Rubens comission to paint the portrait of the King. Also met the artist and his patron in Paris in 1625 during the marriage of the King and Bourbon princess Henrietta Maria of France. Furthermore meet the artist and monarch in London, where Rubens painted the King and other members of the British Royal family.
