Winter landscape with troyka horse ride was executed ca. In 1920-1930s, signed C.Korovine, Russia. Due to the comparison with other works by the same artist in his later Paris period we attributed this work to the hand of leading Russian Impressionist painter Konstantin Alekseyevich Korovin (Russian: Константи́н Алексе́евич Коро́вин, first name often spelled Constantin), born 1861 in Moscow , died in Paris 1939). As it´s known from his biography, the artist moved to Paris a few times, last Pris live period begun 1923 untill his death on 1939. In these years the artist was experiencing financial difficulties and often created commercial paintings for the Paris market, which were created more rapid, but less qualitative as his works from 1900s.
