Three miniature race horse paintings , created in 1900s in the memory of horses- winners by the different steeplechases . All paintings have metall frames in the form of a horse-shoe , each engraved with the name of horse and the name of steeplechase : first painitng , depicting " Sovrana" , the winner of Engelbert Auersberg steeplechase , 1934 ; second - " Vermouth" , winner of international army steeplechase , Vienna 1933 ; third - " La Seguedille " , winner of international officer´s steeplechase , Vienna 1936 .
This rare miniature paintings created by most famous austrian horse and sport painter Carl Franz Bauer ( 1879 Vienna - 1954 Vienna). He studied at the Art Academy in Vienna from 1897 to 1901 by Christian Griepenkerl. He painted a lot of race horse , , ridder paintings , also caricatures and poster designs for famous magazines and news-papers.
