This military painting with Russian cossack patrol was executed in the early 20th century by famous military artist and illustrator Fritz Neumann (1881 -1919). He worked in Munich, devoted himself to paintings of war scenes for famous magazines of his time, especially with battle scenes from the Russian Patriotic War in 1812 against Napoleon and genre scenes with the cossacks on horseback.
