Antique view of Venice canal was created by high listed german architecture painter Ludwig Dittweiler (1844 - Karlsruhe - 1891).He begun his study as theater painter and then at the Art Academy in Karlsruhe, where his teachers were F.Keller and Jos.Mühldorfer. He travelled often to South Germany, Tirol, North Italy.

Inscription: signed lower left and dated 1880.
