Fishing sailboats by the pier of Lovran (sea village in Istria) was executed in the late 19th century by listed German landscape and marine artist Julius Karl Rose (1828 Koenigsbrueck by Dresden - 1911 Munich). Worked in Munich , travelled Bavarian Alps and Adriatic coast, from where he took his landscape and seascape motives ( he signed this works with A(ntonio) Rose and few pseudonyms . . His works situated in Luebeck Behn-Haus; in palace hamilton in Baden-Baden and Louis Juencke Collection . Our work signed with famous artist´s pseudonym Caree (source- date vase artprice.com).
