Portrait of a little blonde girl in the white dress with pink bows was executed in 1909 by good listed Austrian-German painter Ludwig Streitenfeld, also Louis Streitenfeld (* 20 December 1849 in Vienna-Leopoldstadt; † February 6, 1930 in Eisenach, Thuringia). He was Portrait and landscape as well as illustrator, copyist and restorer. From 1902 to 1918 he was the last painter of the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
Streitenfeld, son of the Viennese painter Ludwig Streitenfeld and his wife Johanna, née Ulner, studied until 1872 at the Vienna Academy of Arts. He is also to have visited the academies of Munich , Düsseldorf and Dresden. He was also a pupil of the "Special School of History painting" by Eduard von Engerth. He also deepened his knowledge in the ateliers of the portrait painter Heinrich von Angeli and Hans Makart. He maintained closer contacts with the painter Hans Canon and the sculptor Viktor Tilgner. 1872 became Streitenfeld member of the Viennese Artist´s Association Künstlerhaus, since 1876 he was there as an absent member.
