Extreme rare street scene : a crimean tatar selling caffee on the street of Gurzuf ( Crimea) . Gurzuf is a resort in Crimea, Ukraine, on the northern coast of the Black Sea.Gurzuf is a former Crimean Tatar village, now a part of Greater Yalta. It was made famous by Alexander Pushkin who visited the place in 1821. The famous ballet master Marius Petipa died here. The author of this painting - renown czech orientalist Frantisek Horejc ( born 1885 in Praque). Student of Praque Art Academy (196-1912) by Bukovac and Zenicek. After study he travelled and lived in Crimea, North Africa. He lived in Cairo two years, where he was exhibited . After coming back from orient he worked for czech gouverment as decorator .

Inscription: signed and titled lower right " Horejc Fra.(Frantisek) , Gursuf."

Technique: oil on card board. Original period frame.

Measurements: unframed w 14 1/2" x h 15 1/3" (37 x 39 cm), framed w 20 1/2" x h 21 1/4" (52 x 54 cm)
