Genre scene in the park with a servant decorating the mistress´s hair with flowers, it was executed in 1844 by important and good listed French genre and oriental painter Paul Émile DESTOUCHES (1794-1874 Paris). Pupil of David, Guerin, Gros and Girodet at the Ecole d. B.-Arts since 1815. Debuted at the Salon de Paris in 1817. Mythological, religious, orientalistic and genre subject. Genre works (as "our") are based on the model of Jean-Baptiste Greuze. Awards: 1819, ´27 Medall of 1st class. After his works were executed etchings by Jean Pierre Marie Jazet, Alexandre Vincent Sixdeniers, Jean Alexandre Allais, Edme Jean Ruhierre; and lithograph by Hyacinthe-Louis-Victor-Jean-Baptiste Aubry-Lecomte.Works of Destouches are in the museums of Nantes, Cherbourg, Leipzig. Exhibitions: 1817 - 1841 at the Salon de Paris.
