Pointillistic still life on the summer terrace was executed in the early 20th century by Russian female painter-emigrant Sonja Routchine-Vitry (in Russian the girl name: Соня Ручина). The artist was born in Odessa in 1878, died in Paris in 1931. the representative of Russian School of Paris (in French: Ecole de Paris). Studied in Paris by F.Jumbert and G. Adler. Participated at the exhibition " Woman today" in the gallery J.Charpentier (1924) , in the Salon of French artists (1923), Autumn Salon de Paris (1926) and other collective exhibitions.In 1924 and 1929 was awarded with two Silver medals. The painting " Girl in the lace shawl" was purchased by Luxemburg Museum in Paris. It's known her miniature on ivory " Portrait of the Tsar's mother Maria Feodorovna (Princess Dagmar of Denmark, 1847-1928) with her son, the later Tsar Nicholas II of Russia".

Biography in Russian: Соня Ручина-Витри, хужожница-эмигрантка, (29 сентября 1878 (Одесса) – 29 марта 1931 (Париж)). Училась в Париже у Ф. Юмберта и Ж. Адлера. Участвовала в выставке «Женщина сегодня» в галерее J. Charpentier (1924), в Салоне Салоне Общества французских художников (1923), Осеннем салоне (1926) и в других групповых выставках. В 1924 и 1929 работы были удостоены серебряных медалей. Картина «Девушка в кружевной шали» была приобретена Люксембургским музеем Парижа. Известна Ее миниатюра на кости с изображением Марии Фёдоровны , русской императрицы с ее сыном , позже царем Николаем II из коллекции Йозефа Людвига Регенсбургского.
