Lovely genre scene depicts mother helping little dauther to dress after bath. It was executed by good listed German genre painter Julius Weyde (1822 - 1860 by Stettin). Son of the Berlin portrait and genre painter Theodor Weyde, the pupil of the Berlin Academy under Albrecht Wolfs, then continued study at the Academy in Antwerp under K.F. Vennemann (1848). Our work due to the Flamish dress of the mother was executed in the same time. In 1848 he returned to Berlin. In 1853 he lived in Austria and Italy.
Works by the artist are in the Kunsthalle, Kiel (scene in tavern, 1854). After Wayde´s designs lithigraphed August Haun 6 plates to : " Views of Roman monuments in Pola, Istria (1859)".

Inscription: signed with monogram lower right; bronze plaque with the artist´s name, mounted to the frame; on the back of the stretcher - the label of a German artist union with the name of the artist and inventory numbers; on the back of the canvas - old label with artist´s biography.
