Chioggia (venezian. Cióxa ) is a seaport in the Veneto region of Italy. It belongs to the former provincial capital metropolitan city Venice. Our genre scene with original artist´s title "Il Ponte di Chioggia " (in English: The Gioggia Bridge) was executed by good listed Italian painter Angelo Brombo (Chioggia 1893 – Venice 1962).

The vocation to the painting of Angelo Brombo was born from the craft of decorator inherited from his family through his father Eugenio who held shop under the Porticos in Fondamenta Vena in the rione of Santa Maria and where he worked at least until the mid-1940s.

From 1925 to 1929 he teaches drawing at the School of Applied Art of Chioggia. As a painter, his first exhibition dates back to 1922 when he participated in a group set up in Chioggia. In 1926/27 he participated in the exhibition of Maritime Art in Rome.

The collectives were recalled at the Opera Bevilacqua La Masa in 1930, 31, 32 and the great and important exhibition at the Napoleonic Hall of the Royal palace in Venice with over fifty works in 1945.
