Romantic coastal scene with Italian peasants was executed in the first half of 19th Century and due to the certain similarities can be attributed to the hand of German Romanticist Carl Morgenstern (1811 -Franfurt on Main) or a artist from his circle. Especially figures on the painting strongly resemble manner of this artist.
