Masterfully still life of early 19th Century with flowers, ladybug, butterfly and caterpillar was executed ca. 1820 by listed Berlin flower painter Carl Eduard Krüger. The artist worked in Berlin and exhibited since 1820 his flower paintings in oil and watercolour at the exhibitions of the Berlin Art Academy. Apparentlx identical with Eduard Kruger, who exhibited there 4 pieces of flowers in 1822, or with Johann Eduard Kruger, who in 1818 exhibited there as a pupil of the Academy a fruit and a flower painting after G. W. Volcker.
