This is early 19th Century Romantical landscape with herd and young shepherds couple in the Alpine pasture at a Bavarian lake. The author high quoted German landscape and animale painter, lithographer Max Joseph Wagenbauer (1774 Markt-Gräfing - 1829 Munich) studied by Dorner and Mannlich. After the War of 1815 he was inspector of National painting gallery in Munich. He recieved his acknowledge with animalistic works, later also with Alpine landscapes and views. Wagonbauers became the court painter and published a landscape study book with own Lithographien. Paintings by no, are in museums in Augsburg, Berlin (also collection of Raczynski), Darmstadt, Königsberg, Leipzig, München. He was member of Fine Art Academies in Berlin, Hanau and Munich.
