Street market place in Mostar ( Bosnia&Herzegovina) , on the forground bread sale on the background another market stands and view to Ottoman Mosque. This oriental painting with rare view of Mostar from that time was executed in 1885 by famous Austrian painter Eduard Ameseder ( 1856 in Chernivtsi, Galicia - 1938 in Vienna).

Eduard Ameseder studied in 1876-79 at the Fine Art Academy in ​​Vienna at C. Griepenkerl; 1880-86 at E. Lichtenfels; 1887-91 at the Art Academy in Karlsruhe with G. Schönleber; 1892 Munich. Since 1893 constantly active in Vienna. Member of the artist union Künstlerhaus. Inspired by Schönleber, A. succeeded in developing a kind of oil and tempera technique that made a great luminosity and depth possible with a translucent application of color and turned his great love of nature into a painter. Brought effect (seascape, oil / LW., 1891, The Daisenhof, tempera, 1927). Less worked in the techniques of watercolor (harvest and harness market in Gmünd, 1909), Gouache (Spinnerinnen, 1908, The Old Ratzenstadl, 1919), pastel (Traveling people, 1909, Chioggia, 1924) and pen and ink drawing (In the canyon, 1885) , As an illustrator he became known with the work "The Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy in word and picture".
