Historical scene "Napoleon with his troops on the march" was executed in1906 by listed French military painter Emile Chepfer (1876 Nancy - 1944). He studied at the Drawing school (director Theodore Louis Devilly) in Nancy and later received acknowledge for his military scenes from the time of Napoleon Bonaparte . Also he painted landscapes and genre scene in impressionistic style.
