This museum quality flower still life was executed by one of most prominent Austrian flower painters of 19th century Sebastian Wegmayer ( 1776 - Vienna - 1857). His still life paintings are high quoted on the international art market (see a few results on additional images) and situate in the Belvedere , Lichtenstein museums in Vienna, in the National Museum in Warsaw and in the famous private collections around the world.

Wegmayr was already very successful during his lifetime and received the title of an academic councilor for his services.
