Classicist landscape in Bavaria ( titled in German: To Helmsdorf) was executed in 1817 by German-French watercolour painter and etcher Valentin Schneegans . The artist of German origin was born in Alsace ( till 1871 French provence), travelled and worked by Straßburg, in Bavaria and created landscape watercolour and etchings.

Inscription: signed V.Schneegans and dated 1817, lower right, titled in German :" Nach Helmsdorf".

Technique: watercolour on paper, laid down on thin cardboard. Unframed..

Measurements: only image w 15" x h 19 7/8" (38 x 50,5 cm), total with edges w 18 7/8" x h 24 1/4" (48 x 61,5 cm) .

Condition: in quite good condition, light pollution in sky area.
