Masterfully Biedermeier study of pears and figs was executed around 1830s-early 1840s by good listed Austrian animals and still life painter Carl Franz Gruber ( 1803 - Vienna -1845 ). He was the brother and pupil of still life painter Franz Xaver Gruber. Since 1819 studied at the Viennese Fine Art Academy. Exhibited his works at the academical exhibitions to St.Anna since 1840.

Inscription: signed lower left, on the back of the cover - inscription with biographical info about the artist.
