A pair of family portrait miniatures by Jean (John) Bilfeldt (1792 Avignon - around 1849 (or 1857)). Studied with Pierre Raspay in Avignon; 1819 EcBA in Paris. 1837-42 in New Orleans / USA, according to advertisements active there as portrait and miniature painter. 1842 return to Paris. - Painted in the style of Louis François Aubry mainly miniatures and oil portraits of the military and nobles, as well as landscapes.

Condition: in very good condition.
