Genre painting " Meeting on the village path" was executed in 1930 by famous Polish painter Jerzy Kossak (1886 - Krakow - 1955) . He was the son of Wojciech, grandson of Juliusz Kossak - from his early childhood he painted under the supervision of his father and grandfather. The continuator and imitator of their art created battle, historical and genre scenes with the ubiquitous motif of a horse. He painted pictures from the November Uprising, the Napoleonic Wars and many scenes from the 1920 war. His most famous composition of this kind was the Miracle on the Vistula. He also painted numerous Chases and Chases of Uhlans for Cossacks, Raids of Wolves, Hunting and Weddings. The subject of these works makes them constantly popular among collectors and the public, who always visit the exhibitions of Kossak paintings.
