This large hunting painting was executed by German landscape, wildlife and genre painter professor Christoffer Drathmann (1856 Bremen - 1932 Berlin/Charlottenburg). He studied 1878-1880 at the Art Academy in Karlsruhe, since 1880 worked as autodidact. In 1885 settled to Munich and sent his wild life and landscape works to exhibitions in Berlin. In 1886 he moved to Berlin. From here toured domestic and foreign hunting grounds , under others Mecklenburg, Denmark and Russia. Many paintings were created in the order of different clients.His worsks situate : in Berlin Museum of Mail and communication; Rockenhausen Museum Pachen; Museum in Bad Rothenfelde; also by Russian collectors.
