Impressionistic composition with scattered roses was executed by good listed French flower painter Andre Benoit Perrachon (1827 – 1909), the represantant of famous Lyon flower school of 19th century.Andre Perrachon was born at Lyon in 1827. He studied at the Lyon Academy of Fine Art under the tutelage of the renowned rose specialist Chabal-Dussurgey. From 1847 he studied in Paris under the painter Lepage.// Perrachon received honourable mentions in both the 1859 and 1863 Paris Salons. He exhibited regularly in both Paris and Lyon, and is best known for his floral still lifes, several of which are in museums throughout Europe.
In 1853, Perrachon returned to Lyon and taught at the Academy of Fine Art as well as establishing himself as a highly successful and popular painter of roses.
