Still life of flowers in the Japan Satsuma vase was executed by listed Austrian landscape, still life painter as well as etcher Karl Tucek (1889 - Vienna - 1952). He studied at the Vienna Academy under Sigmund l´Allemand, Franz Rumpler and Ferdinand Schmutzer. He began to exhibit in 1914 in Vienna and later had numerous exhibitions in 1947 to 1976. Karl Tucek was a member of the artist unit "Vienna Native Art".
