Early watercolour with figures in the french town was created in 1845 by good listed French architecture, landscape and historical painter Charles Caines Renoux, born 1795 in Paris (died there in 1846). Works of the artist are located in many European museums and palaces: in Paris, Amiens, Leipzig, Nantes, Orleans, Versailles, Luxembourg, Bordeaux. Renoux is listed in Art Lexicons by Benezit, Thieme-Becker, Nagler.
